Library of Congress Clasification Briefly Explained

The classification divides knowledge into twenty one classes denoted by a single letter which are further broken down into more specific classes. '

For example, Religion is in a larger classification including Philosophy and Psychology -- further broken down into sub classes that separate out the disiciplines into  specifics.
