Printing

Where are the printers?

  • 1st floor: by the stairs in the 24/7 space
  • 2nd floor: near the library reference desk

How do I print?

The library printers use Bear Print and require Bear Bucks for payment.

You can print from our computers, your computer, and through email.

To print from our computers,

  1. Open your document 
  2. Select print
  3. Choose the appropriate printer for Black/White or Color, and Single-sided or Double-sided
  4. Click the print button, and then a box will pop up asking for your MUID
  5. You can then take your Bear Card with you to pick up your document from the printer

How much does it cost to print?

  • Black & White = $0.10/page ($0.20 if double-sided)
  • Color = $0.35/page ($0.70 if double-sided)

Scanning

Where are the scanners?

  • 1st Floor: by the stairs in the 24-hour space
  • 2nd Floor: near the library reference desk 

*You can check out a USB drive at the Tarver circulation desk on the 2nd floor if needed.​

How do I use the scanner?

To scan documents: 

  1. Tap the printer console with your Bear Card. (Scanning is free, but you need to tap with your Bear Card to unlock the terminal.)
  2. Press the big "Home" button next to the display screen,
  3. Choose the "Scanner" icon on the display. It will not take you to the scanner menu. NOTE: You must use a USB drive (a.k.a. a flash drive) to save your scan.
    1. If you are scanning loose-leaf papers, you can put the pages face up in the document feeder on the top of the machine.
      1. When the documents are through scanning, the images will be saved as a PDF on your USB drive.
    2. If you are scanning pages in a book, you will want to open up the flatbed.
      1. Make sure to align your scan with the top-left corner of the flatbed scanner.
      2. You have 60 seconds after a scan to set up the next image.
      3. When you are through scanning, press the # key to save the images as a PDF to your USB drive.

How much does it cost to scan?

No cost, it is free. You just need a USB drive and your Bear Card!
