APA Style 7th ed.

Citing in the American Psychological Association Style

Introduction

Who do you trust for APA Style information?  Numbered in order:

  1. Your professor.  Your professor will be grading your work.  Format it according to their wishes.
  2. The Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association 7th Edition.  Purchasing a copy of the book is recommended if it is the style that you will be using for your program of study.
  3. The American Psychological Association's APA Style Blog.
  1. Librarians and library recommended sources.
  2. Searching the Internet.  Use "site:edu" to limit your searches to other college and universities' websites.
  3. Citation managers.  Zotero and EndNote Web are two used by some Mercerians.
  1. Databases' cite function.
