Pick a section from one of the textbooks on reserve in the library on any aspect of Late Antiquity that interests you to analyze. Write a short (2-3-page) critique. Your analysis should consider what information the author(s) present, and how it is presented. Is it presented as factual or interpretative? What is their supporting evidence? What might they have left out? Who are they? How might that shape their interpretation? What is the main takeaway from the section for the reader in terms of the history of Late Antiquity?
