Steps to find guidelines in CINAHL:
Type the topic (such as a condition, symptom, or clinical procedure) in the search box on the advanced search page. If you already know the name of the guideline, do a title search. Select "Publication Type" on the drop down menu in the advanced search section and type in the term "Practice Guideline." You also have the option to select "Practice Guideline" under "Publication Type" on the main advanced search page.

Select "Guidelines" on the drop-down menu by the search bar. Search by authoring organization, specialty, or topic.

Steps to find guidelines in PubMed:
Type the topic (such as a condition, symptom, or clinical procedure) in the search box and click search. After conducting your search click on "Additional Filters," then under "Article Type" select "Practice Guideline" and click "Show." Then you can select "Practice Guideline" to limit your search.
