What has been done?

From Part 1, you should have some sense of communities which have attempted to address this issue. In addition to searching online, I  recommend the following steps to locate specific information:

  1. Locate government websites - State websites should be easy to find, and many cities and counties will have good websites as well. Some of the information you need should be found through these sources online.
  2. Look for local newspaper websites - Particularly useful if your issue is something the city is currently or recently addressed.
  3. Contact a local library - Many local libraries will have websites with relevant local information. They may have print resources or recommendations that we don't.
